Rutland Prod. 95-6 Stove Gasket Kit Review

I used this kit to replace the factory seal on my large Big Green Egg ceramic smoker/griller.I acheived a good seal by installing this gasket tape on the base of the egg only.The tape is a little long so you can bunch it up as you glue it down.This makes the seal thicker and able to cover any high or low spots where the lid meets the base.This fiberglass gasket seems more tolerant of the high heat encountered while searing steaks than the original felt seal. It is "eggcellent!"
