GE Stove / Oven / Range Broil Element WB44K5009 Review

Ordered this from partshouse via Amazon after the broiler element in my GE JKP18B oven broke.It was packed in newspaper inside a GE parts box that seemed to protect it OK.It was a touch bent but that was easily remedied by easing it back into shape with my hands.The element was a little beefier than the original (as in a bit thicker) so hopefully it will hold up better.

Installation was pretty easy and all you'll need is a screwdriver and maybe a needle-nose pliers.There are a couple of clips that slip onto the flat metal tabs of the element and I needed the pliers to wiggle them off the original element.Just be sure not to let the wires that attach to the element slip back through the hole after you disconnect them while replacing the element.
